Making choices with confidence

Unveil Your Power - Choices

Last time we talked about the high price of being Mrs. Nice. Today we will focus on how to break free from the Mrs. Nice and Yes-mode Syndromes. Lets reflect for a few minutes. Are you constantly saying sorry for everything you do? Do you find it difficult to say “No” to others and “Yes” to you? Do you spend a lot of time finding the right words not to upset people? Do you go out of your way to get approval from others? Do you find yourself apologizing to others, even when they did something wrong towards you? If you answered yes to these questions, I would dare to say you are trapped in the Mrs. Nice and Yes-mode syndromes. As you already know, the first step is to recognize how you are acting and evaluate if that is working well for you. If it is not working for […]

Mrs. Nice, is it really worth it?

Unveil Your Power - Mrs. Nice

Oh, don’t you love when someone does something nice for you? What about when you do something nice for others? Doesn’t that feel even better? To look at other people’s faces and be reassured of how good of a person you are! It’s a shame that our culture teaches us to be good to be accepted by others. Since we are young, we are introduced to a system of rewards and punishments influenced by our parents, teachers, religion, and society. I have been an elementary school teacher for almost 10 years and it is extremely heartbreaking to hear children call themselves “bad” because they cannot sit still or because they laugh too loud. On the other hand, you have the good kids who are fighting their human nature to be still and quiet, just so their teacher can reward them and become the good students. Sadly it continues all of […]

We attract what we want into our lives with little or no effort

Unveil Your Power - Attraction

What holds us back from living the lives we desire? Some people attribute the lack of having what they want to fate – that their lives are somehow “meant to be” the way they are. Many people don’t like the concept of fate, however, because it negates free will. But what if neither the traditional concept of fate, nor free will, really existed for most people? An unusual concept called self-fate helps explain why so many of us don’t have what we really want. Self-fate is the idea that because our past is dominating our thought processes, and because most people are not consciously living in the moment, our past actually creates our future. Because we are making choices based on our past experiences, we cannot change our future unless the control of the past is removed, and we choose in the now. So self-fate really means that for most […]

Unveil your power and become the Master of Your Life

What is a master? It is someone who resonates with success. It’s a person who’s mindset automatically attracts the right people, places, events, and opportunities, and the same mindset allows that allows the person to jump all over all of those opportunities with gusto, and without fear or hesitation. I believe that while each of us can do many things well, there is really only one thing that we can truly master, and ironically, while it takes a lot of effort to become a master in what you do, there is no real effort necessary in the thing we can truly master, which is being who we are. Each of us has a very unique makeup. That makeup, at its core, is perfect, and when we tap into our true core, our real gift to the world is revealed. When you learn to Unveil Your Power, and learn to share […]
